Key Bolivian opposition governor agrees to talks

SANTA CRUZ, Bolivia, Sept 16 (Reuters) - A leader of four rebel governors in politically torn Bolivia said on Tuesday he had agreed to move forward with formal talks with the president to resolve a violent crisis that has shaken the impoverished South American country.

"We have decided to sign this accord for peace to return," Santa Cruz Gov. Ruben Costas told reporters. The accord includes a list of issues the rightist governors will discuss with leftist President Evo Morales.

Other governors did not say whether they would agree to the framework for negotiations with Morales -- whose socialist reforms they abhor -- but they are expected to follow Costas' lead. (Reporting by Ray Colitt, Writing by Fiona Ortiz; editing by Todd Eastham)
