WASHINGTON, Nov 17 (Reuters) - A 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck 41 miles (66 km) north-northwest of Antofagasta, Chile, the U.S. Geological Service reported on Saturday.

The quake, near the coast and Chile's border with Peru, was just 4.3 miles (7 km) below the surface, the USGS said.

There were no initial reports of deaths or damage but mineral-rich northern Chile was hit by a series of powerful quakes earlier this week.
