LOS ANGELES, Dec 20 (Reuters) - About 99,000 customers of Puget Sound Energy remained without power for a sixth day Wednesday, following a powerful windstorm last week, the company reported on its Web site.

That figure was down from 700,000 without power Friday. About 82 percent of those have had power restored, Puget Sound Energy said.

PSE, the biggest power company in Washington, with 1 million customers, was the hardest-hit among utilities in Washington, British Columbia and Oregon that, combined, had about 1.8 million customers without power at the peak of the storm's impact last Friday.

PSE is the utility subsidiary of Puget Energy <PSD.N>.
