Dean weakens to tropical storm over Mexico

POZA RICA, Mexico, Aug 22 (Reuters) - Hurricane Dean weakened to a tropical storm on Wednesday after making landfall in the Mexican state of Veracruz, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said.
