WASHINGTON, May 27 (Reuters) - There's no sign that al Qaeda has acquired the capability to use weapons of mass destruction, a U.S. intelligence official said on Tuesday, ahead of an anticipated release of a video by the group urging militants to use such arms.

"At this point there isn't evidence they've obtained it," the official said, referring to weapons of mass destruction capability. "But it's clearly their intent and it's something we need to be aware of and concerned about." (Reporting by Randall Mikkelsen, editing by Philip Barbara)
