CARACAS, May 28 (Reuters) - Venezuela on Thursday reported its first confirmed case of H1N1 swine flu -- a 22-year-old man who is thought to have contracted the illness on a trip to Panama.

The Health Ministry said the patient was at home and responding well to treatment. The ministry was running checks on 6 people who had been in close contact with the man and was monitoring 80 others who had traveled on the same plane. (Reporting by Enrique Pretel; editing by Mohammad Zargham)
