BAGHDAD - A U.S. soldier died on Sunday night when the vehicle he was riding in was hit by a roadside bomb southeast of the capital. BALAD - One Iraqi soldier was killed and four wounded in clashes between the Iraqi army and gunmen near Balad, 80 km (50 miles) north of Baghdad, police said. BAIJI - One policeman was killed in Baiji, 180 km (112 miles) north of Baghdad, police said. BALAD - A mortar wounded three people in Balad, police said.
