BAGHDAD - A car bomb killed eight people and wounded 10 in Talbiya, a Baghdad district near the Shi'ite militia stronghold of Sadr City, police said. * NAJAF - Thousands of supporters of anti-American Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr marched through the holy Iraqi city of Najaf in an angry funeral procession after a senior Sadr aide was killed by a U.S. soldier on Wednesday. BAGHDAD - A total of 40 bodies were found, shot dead and most showing signs of torture, in different districts of Baghdad on Tuesday, an Interior Ministry source said. BAGHDAD - Clashes broke out in Sadiya, a mainly Sunni Arab district of Baghdad which also has some Shi'ite residents, after gunmen attacked police checkpoints in the area, residents said. It was not immediately clear if there were any casualties. MOSUL - A roadside bomb targeting a police patrol wounded four civilians on Tuesday in the northern city of Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said. BAGHDAD - Iraqi army troops killed 32 insurgents and arrested 39 others during the last 24 hours in different parts of Iraq, the Defence Ministry said. KUT - Gunmen killed a policeman on Tuesday in Kut, 170 km (100 miles) southeast of Baghdad, police said.
