BEIJING, June 5 (Reuters) - A landslide in southwestern China has buried at least 50 people, state media said on Friday.

The People's Daily said on its website that the accident happened in Chongqing municipality. It provided no other details.

Last September, a mudslide caused by the collapse of a mine waste reservoir in northern Shanxi province killed more than 250 people. (Reporting by Ben Blanchard; Editing by Sanjeev Miglani)
