Nov 10 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 1245 GMT on Friday:

* YUSUFIYA - Gunmen in four cars broke into two houses in Kwerisha village, near the town of Yusufiya 15 km (9 miles) south of Baghdad overnight, and abducted and killed 14 people, police said. The bodies were found dumped in a field.

* BAGHDAD - Gunmen abducted a police lieutenant colonel in northern Baghdad, interior ministry sources said.

* TAL AFAR - A suicide car bomber hit an army checkpoint, killing a colonel and four soldiers, and wounding 17 people including 10 soldiers in Tal Afar, about 240 km (260 miles) northwest of Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - Three American soldiers were killed in two separate incidents in Iraq, the military said on Friday.

KIRKUK - A roadside bomb exploded near an Iraqi army patrol, wounding two soldiers in northern city of Kirkuk, police said.

DIWANIYA - Gunmen killed a former Baath Party member in Diwaniya, 180 km (112 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL - Police fished the body of a woman, bearing signs of torture and bullet wounds, from the Tigris river in Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
