CHOSUN ILBO

- South Korean scientists said they have developed a technology to use nano-particles to draw clinical images of cells involved in cancer, which could help speed detection of disease.

- Hyundai Motor <005380.KS> is planning to release a hybrid car next year that runs 20 km (12.4 miles) on 1 litre of gasoline.

KOREA ECONOMIC DAILY

- The state-run Korea Development Institute warned that banks are exposed to greater default risks due to increased borrowing of short-term foreign currencies abroad.
