SEOUL, Feb 2 (Reuters) - The following is a summary of major South Korean newspapers on Friday, prepared by Reuters in Seoul. Reuters has not checked the stories and does not guarantee their accuracy.

CHOSUN ILBO

- The number of Internet users in South Korea rose 2 percent to 34.12 million last year, led by people in their 40s and 50s, the Ministry of Information and Communication said.

DONG-A ILBO

- South Korea is expected to get more yellow dust from China this year, according to the Korea Meteorological Administration.

- The Seoul High Court said illegal immigrants may form a labour union if they are hired and working in South Korea.

MAEIL BUSINESS NEWSPAPER

- A defence ministry report said it will cost 11.7 trillion won ($12.49 billion) by 2020 to shorten the term of mandatory military service.

- Samsung Electronics <005930.KS> bought an additional 47.2 percent stake in Samsung Electronics Haizhou in China to wholly own the company.

KOREA TIMES

- The Financial Supervisory Service said it has started operating an updated corporate public disclosure Web site in English for foreign investors.
