SEOUL, Aug 25 (Reuters) - The Red Cross societies from the rival Koreas will hold talks from Wednesday on resuming the reunions of families separated by the 1950-53 Korean War, Yonhap news agency reported on Tuesday. The destitute North suspended the highly emotional reunions after President Lee Myung-bak took office about 18 months ago in anger at his policy of ending unconditional aid handouts. Their resumption would mark another step reclusive North Korea has made this month to reach out to its neighbour, which was once a major source of aid.
