March 25 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 0800 GMT on Wednesday:

* Denotes new or updated item.

KHOST - A roadside bomb killed nine people, including a woman and a child, and wounded seven others aboard a bus in Sabri district, about 150 km (95 miles) southeast of Kabul, district governor Gul Qasem said.

* URUZGAN - Afghan police detained two district-level Taliban commanders with three other militants after a tip-off by locals in the Tarin Kot district, 380 km (240 miles) southwest of Kabul, on Sunday, a U.S. military statement said. The militants were returning from Pakistan when they were detained at a new police checkpoint, it said. (Compiled by Hamid Shalizi; Editing by Paul Tait)
