Explosion shakes Afghan capital -witnesses

KABUL, Aug 31 (Reuters) - An explosion shook the Afghan capital Kabul early on Friday, witnesses said, but it was not immediately clear what had caused it or if there were any casualties.

Reuters witnesses heard a loud blast but no details on what might have caused it were immediately available.

Neither the military nor police were immediately available for comment.
