SYDNEY, Aug 5 (Reuters) - Three men have been charged with terrorism offences, Australia's Victoria state police said on Wednesday, following raids the previous day which police said related to a plot to carry out suicide attacks on an army base.

The three men have been charged with "conspiring to commit an act in preparation or planning a terrorist act" a Victoria police statement said.

A fourth man, who is already in police custody, is also expected to be charged later on Wednesday, the police statement said.
