SHANGHAI, Nov 23 (Reuters) - A moderate earthquake jolted parts of northwestern China's Xinjiang Autonomous Region late on Thursday, the official Xinhua News Agency reported.

The magnitude 5.1 earthquake, which struck at 1104 GMT on Thursday, was strongly felt in the cities of Usu, Kyutun and Yining, Xinhua cited the Xinjiang Autonomous Regional Seismological Bureau as saying.

No casualties had been reported and the quake's epicentre was located in a mountainous area, Xinhua added.
