All safe after Taiwan plane fire in Japan - police

TOKYO, Aug 20 (Reuters) - All the passengers and crew are safe after a Taiwanese plane caught fire after landing on Japan's southern island of Okinawa, a Naha airport police official said on Monday.

"We have just got confirmation that all 157 passengers and four crew are safe. Thay are all the people who had been on the plane," the official said.

However, national broadcaster NHK reported that while two crew had been rescued from the plane and taken to hospital, two others were trapped.
