BAGHDAD, May 2 (Reuters) - Three U.S. soldiers died in two separate bomb attacks in different areas of Baghdad on Wednesday, the U.S. military said. Two soldiers were killed and another two were wounded when their vehicle hit an improvised explosive device during routine operations in a southern district of the capital. In the second incident, a female soldier was wounded and later died after a similar device exploded under her vehicle in western Baghdad. U.S. and Iraqi troops launched in February a major security crackdown in the capital in an attempt to rein in spiralling violence and to buy time while political leaders attempt to agree on several key pieces of legislation.
