CONAKRY, Jan 19 (Reuters) - Guinean President Lansana Conte on Friday dismissed his most powerful minister, Fode Bangoura, meeting one of the demands of unions paralysing the country in a general strike.

Conte said in a decree on state radio that Bangoura, previously his minister in charge of presidential affairs, had been replaced by minister of planning Eugene Camara.
