U.S. says approves North Korean nuclear deal

WASHINGTON, Oct 2 (Reuters) - The United States has approved a tentative deal on North Korea's nuclear program reached in six-party negotiations, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said on Tuesday.

"We have conveyed to the Chinese government our approval for the draft statement," McCormack said at a press conference.
