Malaysian Indians of Tamil ethnicity demonstrate in front of a poster with pictures of Sri Lankan and Indian government leaders during a protest outside the Indian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur April 21, 2009. The demonstrators are claiming that the Indian government is providing military assistance to the Sri Lankan armed forces against the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). India had helped to arm the LTTE before 1987, but its troops had served to enforce the truce brokered between the Sri Lankan government and the LTTE till 1990, when it had withdrawn from Sri Lanka.
