Egyptian workers struggle to move a household pig into a truck to send it to the main slaughterhouse in the Manshiyat Nasser area in Cairo, May 4, 2009. Garbage collectors who own pigs clashed with security men on Sunday but then agreed with the government to get their pigs slaughtered and sell its meat and take LE 100 in return for every pig, residents in the area said. Egypt ordered the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of pigs as a precautionary measure against influenza A (H1N1), formerly referred to as swine flu.
