A malnourished 2-year-old boy sits in his hospital bed in Jalapa, Guatemala August 21, 2009. Officials have seen a jump in cases of severely malnourished children in the drought-stricken eastern region of the country. Production of corn and beans has dropped by at least 60 percent because of the drought, the Food Security Ministry said early this week.
