An immigrant displaced by anti-foreigner violence in Johannesburg is seen at a refugee camp in Primrose, outside Johannesburg, May 27, 2008. South Africa said on Monday violent attacks on immigrants which have killed 56 people in the last fortnight were under control. President Thabo Mbeki called the attacks, which have uprooted some 30,000 people, a disgrace on Sunday and said his government would act firmly to curb the bloodshed as criticism from African nations grew.
