Relatives of women who were murdered in violent crimes carry cutouts as they take part in a march to the courts to ask for justice in Panama City November 25, 2009. The march was held to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Around 70 women were killed in violent crimes in Panama this year. The sign on the cutout on the right reads "Mariela Esther Alguimedes Escobar de Salazar, 52 years old, an independent worker, she was shot 18 times by gang members looking for her grandson, and who killed her as they could not find him, on January 20, 2009."
