Chadian riot police stand guard in front of the French embassy during a protest in N'Djamena November 8, 2007. Protesters took to the streets of Chad's capital N'Djamena on Thursday to demand that seven Europeans freed at the weekend return to face trial over an attempt to fly 103 African children to live in Europe. Six French humanitarian activists charged with child abduction and fraud were taken to the court house on Thursday to appear before an investigating judge, with four Chadian nationals also facing charges in the case.
