Canadian soldiers killed in Afghanistan begin journey home to Canada

Six Canadian soldiers were killed when their light armoured vehicle struck an improvised explosive device April 8, 2007. Sergeant Donald Lucas, Corporal Brent D. Poland, Corporal Aaron E. Williams, Private Kevin V. Kennedy, Private David R. Greenslade, were members of the 2nd Battalion, the Royal Canadian Regiment based out of Gagetown, and Corporal Christopher P. Stannix, was a member of the Princess Louise Fusiliers based out of Halifax.
