The role
There's no telling where we'll be needed next - that's the nature of our work at Oxfam. And that's why we need you. Making sure we're prepared for every eventuality, you'll ready our management, administrative, specialist and logistical support through procurement, warehousing and international transport. More specifically, you'll work with Regional Centres in developing and updating emergency supply planning, while advising Regional Humanitarian Co-ordinators. You'll also oversee the Humanitarian Department Supply and Logistics strategy, consult with peer agencies on strategic development and contribute to key sector policy.

What we are looking for
With proven strategic planning, implementation and organisational skills, you’ll be just what's needed in scaling up our response capabilities. Ideally, you'll be a CIPS member or international equivalent in purchasing and supply, but we'll value experience developing logistics and expertise in supply related strategies just as much. You'll also be knowledgeable in performance and change management, with achievements managing an international logistics system. More than your background, though, you'll have the temperament to inspire success. Bring great interpersonal skills, be comfortable working in complex situations and be ready to travel up to 8 weeks a year and we'll really pay attention.
