BACKGROUND: ProLogs is a simple Access® database intended as a tool for managing and reporting on Procurement, Inventory, Asset and Vehicle activities in accordance with the IRC global policies and procedures. The system has limited functionality but is intended to be a cost effective interim tool between the paper or multiple spreadsheets employed today and identification and implementation of a full logistics management system in 3 -5 years time. SCOPE OF WORK: The role of the Deployment Coordinator is to lead, plan, organize and support the deployment of ProLogs throughout IRC country programs. Travel both internationally and to IRC Headquarters in New York will be required to complete the tasks requested. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Establish working relationships and communications with ProLogs foal points in each country program Serve as focal point on the ProLogs deployment project and take charge of all aspects of project management Communicate the intent of ProLogs and the role of the deployment team to Regional and Country staff Review roll out plans in coordination with country programs and Regional Operations Management to ensure a common approach to realistic targets and timelines Assist country programs in transitioning from manual systems and reporting to ProLogs, while keeping with IRC policy and procedures Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion Identify resources required for successful roll out of the database globally Review and distribute revisions to the ProLogs manual based on own experiences and feedback received from the field Work with in-country and global IT staff to plan appropriate solutions to software problems or required upgrades Provide regular updates on database roll out to IPD Management Follow up with country programs on milestones achieved and problems encountered Provide training and assist in capacity building of end users REQUIREMENTS: 1. Bachelor's Degree, plus additional related college courses or professional training 2. Excellent written and verbal skills - will be interacting directly with varied country teams 3. 3-5 years experience managing procurement/logistics functions preferably in a development setting 4. Proven ability of working in a team environment and in leading virtual teams 5. Prior strong experience with database design and or management 6. Ability to multi-task with several complex and demanding country programs 7. Possess the enthusiasm to maintain project momentum 8.
