CU has worked in The Gambia since 1992 and the Casamance region of Senegal since 2002. CU works in partnership with local organizations working within the following sectors; food security, rural livelihoods & enterprise development, disaster risk reduction and HIV/AIDS prevention. CU’s vision is a world where justice, dignity and respect prevail for all. Our mission is to work in partnership to challenge poverty and inequality. We support practical actions that enable people to improve their lives and shape their own futures. The Fundraising Unit Each country office is dependently raising its own funds. Fundraising at CU The Gambia and Senegal is headed by the projects support officer (PSO) in charge of grants coordination and donor liaison, who together with the project managers (PMs) creates and submits proposals. In line with the CU partnership approach, a PSO under CU’s capacity building project, EXCEL, supports the partners in enhancing their fundraising skills.
