Workplace: Khartoum, with some field visits (ie: Darfur, Nuba, OES) Starting Date: February 2010 Contract Details: 1 year, preferably 2 Project Overview Broad portfolio of projects, including: multisectoral project in an acute emergency in Darfur; PHC Clinic in established IDP camp outside Khartoum and mobile clinic in Khartoum State; cross-line PHC rehabilitation project in Nuba Mountains; emergency response to disease outbreaks/demolitions etc. Responsibilities Provision of accurate information on the financial status of the project(s) by carrying out various accounting functions and ensuring accurate financial management. Support to DCD and field in all aspects of financial management. Effectively communicate financial reporting at field and HQ level. Organise and further develop the financial processes required for projects to function effectively. Manage & train local finance office staff. Qualifications •Qualified accountant preferred. •Degree or relevant qualification in accounting / book keeping desirable Experience •1 year in relief NGO, working preferably in the finance sector.
