| Description: | We’re the world’s independent children’s charity. We’re outraged that millions of children are still denied proper healthcare, food, education and protection. We’re working flat out to get every child their rights and we’re determined to make further, faster changes. How many? How fast? It’s up to you. You will be helping us to deliver EVERY ONE – Save the Children’s new global campaign to save millions of children’s lives. We stopped children dying from basic illnesses, hunger and malnutrition in rich countries a century ago. Now it’s time we ended it for good in poor countries. EVERY ONE of us can play a part. You will be leading our programming issues on health, HIV and child survival – providing technical support to countries, ensuring successful grant proposals and overseeing operational research. In this way, this key role will continue and grow our expertise in health system strengthening and health financing, as well as our principle of integrating policy, advocacy and programming. You should have substantial expertise in improving child and maternal health and significant experience of managing health-related programming (both with policy and practice involvement) in developing countries. Having a track record of successful fundraising, proven influencing skills and strong management experience will, also, be vital.
