| Description: | Plan Asia Regional Office, located in Bangkok, is looking for the following position to join our team. This is local recruitment. Successful candidate will be offered a 21-month fixed term contract and package competitive to the local market.
Funded by UK’s Department for International Development, the International Climate and Disaster Resilience (CDR) project aims to inform policy and practice to improve climate and disaster resilience in developing countries. The project will develop a conceptual and practical framework to promote disaster and climate resilience in Southeast Asia, South Asia and East Africa and then use this framework and evidence to bring together efforts by the different communities of practice including DRR, Climate Change and development. Focus countries in Southeast Asia will be Cambodia, Indonesia and Philippines – where Plan is working in these issues at grassroots and national level.
The post holder will lead and coordinate activities within the region, working with Plan’s country programmes and regional technical networks – to develop and validate the resilience framework and influence decision makers, practitioners, governments and donors towards climate smart development. Responsibilities include: commissioning research, conducting desk research, initiating and managing networking and learning workshops.
