General objective:
To evaluate the WASH context, and to identify needs and intervention opportunities in North-West Frontier Province (NWFP) of Pakistan (Districts TBD), make an inventory/mapping of WASH partners and activities already in place, to elaborate a WASH strategy for ACF programming in this area.
Activities:
1. Collection, capitalisation and analysis of data:
* Meeting with other actors involved in assistance projects (NGOs, WASH line ministries, coordination bodies…)
* Compilation of a “Who, what, where” for both actual and pending activities * Collection/compilation of data regarding population size, composition, status, WASH coverage and water related disease incidence * Collection of data about water resources, water infrastructure, operation and maintenance of WASH facilities and water related practice * Analysis of the information collected in a report including WASH needs and gaps 2. Design of ACF WASH activities in the area * Identification of potential implementing partners * Definition of target groups, entry criteria and WASH standards to be respected * Definition of a modus operandi of how ACF WASH interventions should be carried out * Write a proposal (LFA, narrative and budget) for ACF WASH program in the targeted area (including proposed activities, results, indicators) * After validation of proposed LFA by the coordination field team and the HQs, write a proposal for the funding of proposed activities including a detailed budget breakdown Qualifications: Level of study/specific qualifications/technical requested: * University background, water engineer * Previous assessment experience. * Fluent English. * Good managerial and training skills * Good capacity of representing ACF Required Competence & Skills : * Project development capacity * Ability to analyse and synthesize * Capacity to supervise a team * Organizational qualities * Diplomacy * Good relations with people * Flexibility * Dynamism Please Apply online at: http://www.actionagainsthunger.org/get-involved/jobs/field/water-sanitation-and-hygiene-assessment-manager |
