Specialist, Supply Chain Management

We are seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated individual to join World Vision International’s Global Supply Chain Management team. This is an excellent opportunity contribute to towards improving the well-being of the world’s most vulnerable children using your supply chain management expertise.

As part of a team who implement supply chain management best practice in our field offices, you will primarily be responsible for organizing, leading, contributing to and facilitating supply chain management assessment and implementation programmes within each of the World Vision National Offices that will have the greatest impact on process improvement, simplification, standardization and cost savings. Must bring extensive experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM) and ideally familiarity with SCM systems.

To be considered, you will have a minimum of eight (8) years professional work experience with progressively more responsibility relevant to supply chain issues, business process improvement, project management. Demonstration of experience in supply chain management technical skills such as sourcing, material handling and forecasting, procurement, vendor mangement, contract negotiations, internal/external warehouse management, transport operations, inventory management, and logistics support is required. You will have a track record of delivering results – particularly through influencing, rather than line managment authority.

This position will require travel of upto 80% of the time.

Your resume will also include/reflect:
•University degree in business, science, engineering, technology or supply chain management or equivalent experience and professional qualification in supply chain management
•Good management consultancy experience
•Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
•Being adaptable, a very quick learner, and able to work independently
•Ability to work effectively across different cultural and geographic contexts - preferably already experienced in working in large, complex, international organisations
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•Personal presence and credibility
•IT literacy in Excel and PowerPoint
